Enamored with plant life since exploring the English gardens of her childhood, Laura has been planting her own seeds ever since.

 

Upon moving to California 13 years ago, and realizing you could grow all year here, she set about studying the plants she was surrounded by, many of whom were foreign to her, and returned to school to obtain a certification in Horticulture. Following this path, she worked with rare perennials and California native wildflowers at Annie’s Annuals, and in 2022 was brought on to help maintain 16 acres of historic formal gardens at Filoli.

Laura loves teaching others how to care for their plants, and showing the next generations how to grow.
